Chris’ path to success has always been seeing the challenge in front of him and solving it.  Not willing to do anymore school after his high-school grad he got right to work.  Then in the late 1980’s, and in his early 20’s Chris and a business partner were determined to develop and operate their own business, a small café in downtown Toronto.  The result was a 30-seat café that catered to downtown business client.  With a booming lunchtime trade, they were knocked out of business by the landlord’s decision to renovate right outside their front door.  Unwilling to be defeated, Chris dusted himself off and started a career in corporate restaurant management.
